What Are the Spirit and Soul
People commonly think that one lives on after he dies because his Spirit and Soul exist. However, there is no Spirit and Soul in people.
All material things in this world exist and act while that material entity is still alive. When it does not exist, it does not exist.
Let us suppose that there is a dead person here. This person cannot think or cry out in pain even if a part of the body is cut out or pierced with a knife. It would simply be a piece of material where there is nothing, and once this material is burned and eliminated, there is nothing. For all material things that are born in this world, once they disappear after existing in a certain shape and form, there is nothing that remains.
If the Spirit and Soul are to exist, the self has to disappear. Then, the mind has to go to the Origin and be born again from there—only then do the Spirit and Soul exist. To be reborn from there means the masters of Truth create that Spirit and Soul. Only then do the true Spirit and Soul exist.
Those who have the Spirit and Soul of Truth within can live eternally without life or death. Only the one whose false self has completely died while living, and is reborn as Truth, has the Spirit and Soul.
