โœจ INTRODUCTION

In this teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that true joy and happiness are not found in pleasure, possessions, or meaning created by the mind. ๐ŸŒฟ
They appear naturally when the self disappears and one lives according to natureโ€™s flow.

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

Where should we seek joy and happiness?

Life is a continuous series of difficult times. But without any pleasure life becomes so dreary that one would wish for death. There is no meaning in human life. People find living life difficult because they live their lives without meaning.

However, one can live free of worries when he has absolutely no self. Living without worries is the ultimate blessing โ€” the blessing of blessings.

There is nothing to gain or have in life; everything is futile because physical or sensory pleasures are momentary and only bring more suffering.

When one lives without self, unhappiness is no longer unhappiness. Nothing is oneโ€™s self, so things as they are, are the utmost happiness. Oneโ€™s life, just as it is, is a happy and joyful one.

Knowing natureโ€™s flow and living accordingly is a joyful and happy life. One can be happy and joyful because natureโ€™s flow is mutual affection.

Natureโ€™s flow exists in the place where oneโ€™s self does not exist. Therefore the way of man is natureโ€™s flow.

The way of man and the way of heaven is one and the same, so we must live according to natureโ€™s flow.
