INTRODUCTION
✨ In this powerful teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that what humanity considers “living” is in fact life inside a self-made tomb. People are busy surviving, caring for their bodies, and fulfilling social expectations — yet they do not know why they were truly born.
🕊️ The most urgent task in human life is not success, comfort, or survival — it is to come out of one’s inner tomb, be reborn as Truth, and live in the living Land of Light. Only from outside the tomb can one truly see what life is and how to live eternally.

The Most Urgent Thing in the World
People are so busy trying to survive, just trying to get by. They have to feed their families, send their kids to school, and keep up appearances. In other words, they live trying to give their bodies good food and good clothes. The ultimate purpose of what we learn in school is also to eat well and live well. But no one knows the true purpose of life and the goal of life. Therefore, there are no institutions that teach these things.
The reason and purpose for humans to come into this world is to be alive; it is not to be alive in this world but to be alive forever.
Your body comes from your parents, whose bodies came from both the mother’s and father’s ancestors, going back many generations. You were born into this world through the conditions which connected your parents at the exact time and day, and without it you would not exist.
Your birth is a fortuitous event, which could not have taken place had it not been for the specific conditions of your ancestors’ lives.
Thus, each human being is a precious and rare existence, and the reason and purpose for such a rare existence to come into this world is to live forever. People live with their self-centered, multi-layered, pretentious minds in order to live in this world, to live for their bodies, throughout their lives. People store numerous things in their minds; they are dead and buried in their tombs.
Scottish scientists were able to clone a sheep from a single cell, proving that a single cell is the same as the whole person. Each cell is a version of the person in miniature. But when one’s consciousness is dead even his cells are dead. The world where people live now is not the true world because the world they live in is the world they have in their minds. How people see the world is different depending on their minds, depending on the extent of what they have in their minds. That mind enables them to move and know how to live, but the lives of humans are not true since they have accumulated in their minds what they have learned and experienced; those are the shadows of their memories. Those shadows are non-existent illusions when one dies; but one who has Truth within will not die even when his body dies.
One who has much falseness in his mind, instead of having Truth, lives a false, delusional life in his tomb, for he must live according to what his false, delusional self commands. Within his tomb, he believes in religions or practices other forms of meditation to get rid of the burden of pain or to have comfort in his mind. Nevertheless, one who is in his tomb cannot escape from the tomb which he has built.
For one who has come out from the tomb, there is the world; one who is dead in his tomb cannot come out by himself. Many have spoken about the world beyond the grave. Some say a savior will come to take us out of our tombs while others say we can escape the tomb if we have faith. But no one can guarantee that any of these methods will really work. Only one who is outside the tomb can know how to come out of it because his viewpoint is outside.
In the tomb, there are much pretense and many lies; people speak only illusionary false words, mere words with no actions. Outside of the tomb, all is free without constraints and everything is as you see it and as it is. People who are trapped in their tomb do not know the world outside as they are dead in their tomb, thinking that their tomb is the whole world.
One who lives in the world outside of the tomb truly pities those who are dead in their tomb, because if they would just come out from the tomb, they could live in the true world.
The most urgent thing for people who are trapped in their tombs is to come out of them and into this new world, and be the owner of this new world where there is freedom and liberation without death. This is the only way to accomplish the reason and goal of humans being born into this world. One who is reborn outside of the tomb lives life outside it and does not return to the life he lived inside it.
