📖 Introduction
In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung explains what the mind truly is—something humanity has tried to define for centuries but has never fully understood.
While religion teaches us to empty and cleanse the mind, and philosophy debates its nature, few have clearly identified which mind must be discarded and what the original mind truly is.
According to Master Woo Myung, the original mind is not human thought, memory, or emotion—it is the Energy and Light of Truth, the eternal Soul and Spirit of the Universe. ✨ To be reborn as this original mind is to transcend death and live forever.

The Mind
The forms of all things are mind, and all things live according to their forms. Although mankind has studied the mind and what the mind is for a long time, no one has been able to define what it is, give its true meaning, or determine which minds we must discard. The Bible tells us that the poor in spirit (in this case, another term for “mind”) are blessed, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs. We have also often heard that we must empty and cleanse our minds. However, we were not able to know exactly which minds we should empty and cleanse. No one knew what the mind’s entity or form is, or in other words, what the mind is.
The original mind is the Energy and Light of Truth, the Universe before the infinite Universe. This existence existed an eternity ago, and it will exist an eternity later. It is the very essence of an eternal and never-dying immortal. All creations in the world are the representations of this existence. All creations in the world are this existence. The origin of the things in the world is this great Soul and Spirit of the Universe, which is the Creator, the sky before the sky and the Universe before the Universe. It is the mother and father of all things, it is our origin, and it is our original mind.
This existence is always alive, and it is Energy and Light that is Truth itself. Thus, it is without death and it is an existence that is omnipotent and omniscient. The reason we seek our original mind is in order to live forever in the heaven that never dies. This existence lives forever and always just exists, even if all things in the world disappear. It is Energy and Light itself, the source and origin of the great Universe. A person who has been reborn as this Energy and Light of the great Universe can live.
While people are alive, they sustain their lives from the energy of the food they eat but a person who has been born as the Soul and Spirit of the great Universe, as Energy and Light itself, while he is living does not die even after his body dies. If people cleanse their minds and are reborn as this true mind, death no longer exists for them.
People’s minds are all different; they differ according to their shape and form. People’s forms resemble their parent’s forms; hence all people’s minds are different from birth.
People are sinners because they are not one with Truth. It is said that man has original sin because he is born from his parent’s sin, his parent’s karma. People have bodies and minds; man’s mind is an entity of original sin. By storing self-centered minds, false illusions that are shadows of the memories of the life he has lived, these minds have become him. He lives according to what these delusions of attachments order him to do, believing that they are him.
Man lives in a way that is no more and no less than these minds that he has put inside himself. If one has stored medical knowledge inside himself, he makes a living with this knowledge, and if he has stored the law inside himself, he makes a living from the law. While he lives, he continually stores more and more without discarding anything so he becomes a slave to these numerous minds and he lives with suffering, burdens and delusions.
Man’s mind is not one; he has many, many different kinds of minds. Each of them orders him to do different things, which is why man is so fickle and his mind changes so frequently. If he is to discard these minds and find the true mind, he must throw away his illusionary life that he has within him, as well as his illusionary body that contains these illusionary minds. If he discards even the illusionary Universe in him, only the true mind remains.
The true mind is Truth. It is the great Soul and Spirit and it is the body and mind of Truth. He must be reborn as this Soul and Spirit in order to never die and live in the right way. This place, here, must become heaven if he is to live in heaven after he dies. The mind that one must discard is his mind of attachments, his mind of false images. He must also eliminate his body that contains his mind and the Universe that is in the illusion. Then only the mind of Truth remains and he can be reborn as this mind. This is what repentance is. Repentance is not about blaming others; it is about killing and discarding one’s own self who is at fault. From beginning to end, it is about discarding one’s self and being reborn as the existence of Truth, the true mind, when one no longer exists.

🌠 Reflect at Santa Clara Meditation
At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners learn not just to relax the mind—but to identify and discard the false minds of attachment and illusion. 🌿
Through meditation, one can remove the accumulated self formed from memories and habits, and return to the original mind—the Energy and Light of Truth.
True repentance is not regret—it is transformation.
When the false self disappears, only Truth remains.
