True faith is not mere belief—it is when one’s mind has become Truth itself. 💫
In this insightful message from The Living Eternal World, Master Woo Myung explains that faith is the affirmation of the mind. Many claim to believe, but what they believe in are self-created images, not real Truth. Such faith, he warns, is idolatry—a delusion rooted in illusion.
To truly believe in Truth, one must repent, discard the false self, and be reborn as Truth itself. This is the essence of the Human Completion Education taught at Santa Clara Meditation. 🌿
When the mind becomes Truth, faith becomes real—no longer belief in mental constructs, but oneness with Truth.
The Meaning of Faith
Faith is the affirmation of the mind.
This affirmation is what a person who believes in Truth
must attain in his mind –
his mind’s belief that Truth is inside him.
It is when his mind has become Truth itself
that his mind will believe.
I once asked a person if he believed in Truth,
to which he replied that he did.
I told him that he must believe with his mind,
to which he replied that he did.
I asked him what the object of his faith was,
to which he replied that it was
what he had placed in his mind.
I told him that a person who believes in Truth
must repent and thus have Truth within him.
People say they believe,
but what they believe in are
the images that they themselves have created inside them.
Such is idolatry;
it is a delusion believing in a delusion.
To believe in Truth means to become Truth;
only then would one be believing in the real Truth.
For sure, faith is the affirmation one has in his mind.
Only when one’s mind has become Truth
and thus has faith in it
would it really be faith.
