INTRODUCTION

✨ In this profound explanation, Master Woo Myung clarifies the real meaning behind the prophecy that the Savior will come like a thief in the night. Throughout history, saints such as Jesus Christ and Shakyamuni were not recognized by the people of their time because they appeared in an ordinary human form. Likewise, the coming Savior—Truth itself—must come as a person for mankind to be saved.

However, because people expect the Savior to match their fixed conceptions and fantasies, they will not recognize Him even when they see Him. This is why the Bible says He will come “like a thief” and “hidden by a cloud.” It means that no one will know he is Truth, even while seeing Him with their own eyes. 🌟

The Day of the Lord Will Come like a Thief in the Night

The Savior, who is Truth, can save mankind only when he comes in human form. Therefore, he will come to the world as a human being. Jung-gam-rok, a Korean book of prophecy, tells us the Savior will come as a person, and that he will come as a saint. The Bible says that he will come like a thief; that many will see his coming but no one will know on which day and hour he will come.

In the same way as things are at present, people who were around at the time of Jesus Christ, Shakyamuni, and other saints did not believe in them because the saints had the same human form as they did. When it is said no one will know when the Savior comes, it means that when a person comes no one will know he is Truth because they will not be able to see that he is Truth. This is the reason it is said the Savior will come riding on a cloud, or hidden by a cloud. When Truth comes as a person, many people will see him but no one will know that he is Truth. No matter how long people wait for a Savior from their fantasies, a Savior from their fixed conceptions, such an existence will never come. The Savior will come as a person but man cannot know Truth that exists within his mind. Hence, it is said that he will come like a thief, which means that no one will know he is Truth.
