INTRODUCTION

✨ In this reflective and piercing teaching, Master Woo Myung looks back on human life and declares that all worldly affairs β€” success, struggle, joy, and suffering β€” are ultimately dreamlike and meaningless when seen from Truth.

🌿 He explains that only after becoming the Universe itself β€” after crossing β€œArirang” of the false self β€” did he truly understand the language of nature, the chirping of crickets, and the song of cicadas. When one comes to true senses, the heart is filled with joy, and the suffering of the world is revealed as unnecessary. This is the awakening that Master Woo Myung points toward. 🌠

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

The Affairs of the World Are All the Same

The affairs of the world are all the same.
When they pass, they are all dreams.
In a meaningless world,
people suffer loaded down with burdens,
and they are not able to laugh or cry β€”
a person with a dead consciousness blames the world,
and lives without knowing the true meaning or purpose.

Now that my long-sought dreams have been fulfilled,
and I have climbed over the Arirang hills,
now that I have become the master of all creations
and I have seen and become that
which I had previously only dreamt of β€” a divine being β€”
I now know that all affairs of human life
are meaningless.

Now I understand the crickets’ chirping,
I understand the cicadas’ song,
and I can properly see all living things.

Now that I have come to my true senses,
my heart is filled with joy.
When all people come to their senses,
when they escape from their suffering and live properly,
the frustrations of my heart will be appeased.
