In this poetic meditation, Master Woo Myung shares the quiet loneliness of walking in the world as one who has come from Heaven.
Though familiar in appearance, he remains unrecognized.
His solitude is not of despairβ€”but of deep Truth misunderstood by the world.

Solitude

Though a familiar face is walking on the street,
people just look at him as he passes by.
They do not recognize this person who is from Heaven
and so he, with his familiar face, remains silent.

Everyone sees me and everyone knows me,
but even though I tell them I am from Heaven
no one seems to know me.
Perhaps this is only natural
since it is only just recently that I have arrived.
Nevertheless I alone walk on in my solitude;
there is no one who understands what I am feeling.
