INTRODUCTION
๐ In this reflective writing, Master Woo Myung explains that solitude is not merely being alone, but the state in which one has lost connection with the one Mind. As darkness falls, fear and loneliness arise when the mind is filled with attachments and emotional impressions from the past.
โจ This teaching reveals that true joy comes only when the mind is free of attachments and kleshas. When one changes the mind through thought and discards these impressions, one walks the path of dล (Truth), as taught by Master Woo Myung.
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
Solitude II
As the day grows dark,
solitude and fear set in man.
Solitude is the state in which one walks alone;
it is when he is not of the one Mind.
In order for his life to be joyous,
man must have a mind that is
absent of any attachments.
The countless kleshas that man has
become images that are impressed into his mind โ
images gained from having lived his life.
Such images are what become his emotions,
which he feels as he lives his life.
โDล (Truth)โ means
the changing of oneโs mind through his thoughts;
such is the Way of a righteous life.
