INTRODUCTION
β¨ In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that salvation means falseness being transformed into Truth. Humanityβs sin is turning away from the world of TruthβGod, Christ, the great Universeβand creating a false world of pictures in the mind. π
From birth, people inherit original sin, living as shadows within the saha world (the world of sentient beings). What we see, hear, and experience becomes stored as pictures, and we mistakenly believe this illusion to be real.
True salvation is to escape from this false world into the true worldβwhere there is no sin, no illusion, and no death. πΏ
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
Salvation Is Falseness Being Made to Become Truth
When the Messiah comes to the world he will chase out all demons from the world of sin and take man to heaven.
What is manβs sin?
Manβs sin is turning his back on the world that is Truth, God, Christ and the great Universe, and trying to make the world his. He does this by making a false world through the pictures he takes in his mind, until his death.
Our very selves are illusions and we are ghosts from the moment we are born because our ancestors also lived in a false world of sin. This is called original sin. The saha world – the world of sentient beings – is also an illusion.
Even though man lives in a picture, a photo, formed from the images he has taken with his eyes, nose and ears from childhood, he believes he lives in the real world.
If you want evidence that you live inside a picture, think of everything that you did this morning: isnβt it all inside your mind?
Isnβt your whole life inside your mind also? Didnβt you store all that you have seen, heard, smelled and felt in the world as pictures inside your mind?
The moment you look at the world, you take a picture and live in it. That picture is false and your self that lives in that picture is also false. We must escape from this false world – the world of sin, the saha world, the world of sentient beings or sattvas – and come out into the true world. This is salvation.
Salvation is falseness becoming true.
Salvation is when from the world of sin one is resurrected in the true world where there are no sins. It is escaping from the saha world. Man lives in a false world, therefore salvation is enabling him to live in the true world.
Salvation is falseness being made to become Truth.
