INTRODUCTION
β¨ In this deeply clarifying teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that becoming Truth is not about gaining moreβmore knowledge, more power, more status, or a more improved version of the false self. Instead, true rebirth requires discarding everything: the false body, false mind, and the human world of pictures. πΏ
He shows that people often seek Truth for the wrong reasonsβseeking enlightenment for their ego, to be admired, or to gain influence. But meditation is not a tool for self-enhancement; it is the path of eliminating the self entirely so that one may be reborn as the body and mind of the Universe, the eternal and never-changing Truth. π
Only when one’s false self disappears does the true world remain.
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
Being Reborn as Truth Is About Discarding Everything, Not Having More
Often, many people come to find Truth,
and just as they have always done in their worldly lives,
they want their selves to become enlightened,
to know something and to become complete.
Some do the meditation
to improve and better their false selves,
to be idolized,
or to become leaders of some false religious cult.
Those who meditated with the purpose of gaining power over others
strove to achieve their goal,
but failed because the aims of the meditation were far removed from theirs.
They left, and many wandered in the wrong places,
before coming back eventually.
The place of Truth is where you throw away the false picture
world – the human mind world –
and your very self that lives in the false picture.
What this means and what it asks us to do
is to discard our human bodies and minds,
and change to the body and mind of the Universe.
It asks us to eliminate all of our bodies and minds from the Universe
so that we may be reborn with the body and mind of the true living
God – the Universe.
It asks us to become Truth itself –
the eternal and never-changing body and mind of the Universe.
When oneβs false self disappears from the Universe,
isnβt the true world the only thing remaining?
He who is born in this world is a saint and a child of God.
It is when one is reborn in the everlasting land of God
that one becomes a living person.
If you just eliminate yourself from the world,
the true world remains
and you will be born in the true world
and live forever.
Being reborn as Truth means that one’s false self is discarded
and he becomes reborn as what is real in the world that is real.
It is to throw away one’s false body and mind.

REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION
At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners learn the true meaning of rebirth: not adding more to the self, but discarding the entire false self. π Through this cleansing, the body and mind of the Universe emerge, and one awakens to the real world that exists eternally.
