INTRODUCTION
β¨ In this teaching, Master Woo Myung explains why the Bible says that no one knows the day or hour when the Lord will comeβnot even Jesus himself, but only the Father, the existence of Truth. People expect Jesus to return in the same human form he had 2,000 years ago, but Truth is not a physical body. Truth is the eternal, never-dying Energy and Light of the Universe, and when this existence appears in the world, the Messiah has come.
Because people lack Truth within, they cannot recognize Truth even if it comes right before themβjust as the Jewish people did not recognize Christ long ago. π

The Reason No One Knows on Which Day and in Which Hour the Lord Will Come
In the Bible it says that when Jesus was asked when the Messiah will come, he answered that no one knows, not even he, but only βthe Fatherβ or God knows. People in the world believe the form Jesus had two thousand years ago is the Messiah, and they are waiting for him to return.
Jesus is the existence of Truth. So if a person who is Truth comes to the world, he is Jesus. The eternal and never-changing Truth is the Energy and Light of the Universe; it is the existence that never disappears no matter how much it is eliminated; Truth is the eternal and never-dying God that existed before the world began and who will exist after the world ends. When this existence of Truth comes to the world, the Messiah has come. It is unrealistic to believe that Jesus Christ in the form that he had 2000 years ago will come down from heaven on a cloud. Truth is simply as one sees and hears, it is as things are. It goes against the principles of the world for a dead person to come back with the same flesh that he had in the past.
Among the people who seek dΕ, there are many who suffer from megalomania. They are people who want to master some kind of special ability so that they can boast about themselves. Truth is simply as one sees and hears, as things are. For example, the reason people cannot fly is they do not have wings. If there was a person who could fly, he would have already won all the Olympic gold medals.
The person who can fly the highest is the person who is the best at the high-jump; and the person who can fly the farthest is the person who is the best at the long-jump. If there was a person who could fly, he would have won all the medals for all short and long-distance track events. People believe there are those who can fly, because they are foolish. A bird flies because it has wings, four-legged creatures crawl because they have four legs, and people walk because they have two legs.
Anything that has passed away does not return, and water that has flowed downwards does not flow back up. In the same way, a dead person cannot recover his flesh that has rotted away and this is Truth. If such a person does come back, he cannot be Truth.
A person can only speak of and teach people as much as he has in his mind. A person who foretells the coming of Truth can only tell such prophecies, and a person who has the Pakistani language in him will live speaking Pakistani. A person speaks, lives and teaches what he has in his mind.
Man only sees a personβs outward appearance. He sees and judges others from within his mind of greed. Long ago, when Jesus Christ came to the world, the Jewish people did not recognize that he was Truth. If the existence of Truth came to the world now, people will just see another person and will not know that he is Truth, just as the Jewish people did not recognize Christ. There are millions of people in the world but it is impossible to know what they have in their minds. In the same way, when the existence of Truth comes, people will not recognize him because they will be unable to see the Truth that exists in his mind.
People are further unable to see or recognize him because Truth does not exist in their minds; their minds only hold falseness.
Only Truth can see Truth and only the living can recognize a person that is living. Therefore, man cannot see Truth because his consciousness is dead.
Christ told us that only the Father will know β this means people will not know when the existence of Truth has come because being dead, they will not be able to recognize him. Only the existence of Truth will know that he is Truth. Only he who is Truth will know when Truth has come, so therefore no one will know. It is again only a person who is Truth who will know when that day is, and in which hour.
