INTRODUCTION
โจ In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that the world humans believe they live in is not the real world, but a picture world, a film created and stored inside the human mind. From childhood onward, every momentโbreakfast, conversations, places, emotionsโaccumulates as pictures, forming the false world where people truly live. ๐ฟ
This picture world contains suffering, good and bad, burdens, aging, sickness, birth and death, the past, present, and future. But none of these exist in Godโs world, the true world. When one becomes one with the real world and is reborn in it, all suffering and duality disappear, and only eternal, never-changing life remains. ๐
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
The Past, Present and Future, Good, Bad, Burdens and Sufferings Exist in the False Ghost World Where Man Lives, but None of These Things Exist in Godโs World
We have often heard,
that human life itself is an illusion,
that we live in a delusion,
and that someday the Savior will come to save us.
Religions tell us to cleanse and empty our minds
because we do not live in a righteous world.
Man believes he lives in the true world
but the world he lives in overlaps the real world.
He is living in a film, a movie that he himself has made.
From a young age, he makes a film
which he keeps inside his mind –
he lives inside this film of pictures taken of the world.
Think about the breakfast that you had this morning:
the place where you were sitting and what you ate
were taken as pictures inside your mind;
it is not what happened in the world
but it was in a picture, in your mind.
The breakfast you ate and what you did all day,
arenโt they all inside that film, in your mind?
You were not inside the world,
but inside your mind,
and even this moment, if you think about it once it has passed,
isnโt it also in a picture?
The world and this moment is overlapping inside the mind
so man believes that he is living in the world.
If he becomes one with the world, and lives in the world,
he will not have any pictures.
The human mind is a film that takes and stores pictures
but the mind of the world does not take pictures.
Man does not know this
so he is not born in the world
and he is not saved.
There is suffering, burden, life, death, good, bad,
ageing, sickness, birth, death, the past, the future and the present
in the world of these pictures;
but when you become one with the true world
and you are born in the world,
these things do not exist;
it is eternal, never-changing life itself.
