π INTRODUCTION
β¨ In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung explains the true meaning behind the Christian βnew heaven and new earthβ and the Buddhist kingdom of Maitreya. πΏ
He reveals that both expressions point to the same realityβthe destruction of the false world of the mind and rebirth in the world of Truth. π
This message shows that salvation is not a future promise, but a present transformation achieved through true repentance and rebirth into the land of Truth. π

The New Sky and the New Earth
In Christianity it is said that those who believe in Jesus will live eternally in a new heaven and earth at the second coming of Christ, while in Buddhism it is said that when Maitreya comes people will live forever in the kingdom of Buddha. These two different expressions have the same meaning. Everyone in the world is living in the saha world β the world of sin β and not in the new heaven and new earth. However, when the world of sin is completely destroyed, the world of Truth emerges β therefore it is the new heaven and new earth. In order to live there, one must go to the land of Truth and be reborn within it.
There is no place that is more beautiful or more perfect than this world that God created. However man has turned his back on God. He puts into his mind a world created by taking pictures of the world of oneness; this mind world overlaps the world so he is under the illusion that it is the real world. Therefore this picture world is the world of sin.
Taking one who is living in his own mind world to the world of Truth and giving him new birth in this world is salvation. Such a place is also the new heaven and earth. In the land of God, the world itself is already completely saved. Man is not able to go to this world because he lives within his sins and karma so only he who repents his sins can go to this world.
He who tries to accomplish Truth with his false self is not able to do so. People often try to accomplish Truth by themselves once they know the method and there are also those who give up along the way. It is the study of cleansing oneβs false self and false mind in order to become the mind of Truth and be reborn and resurrected in the land of Truth.
Because oneβs self is false, even if he does accomplish Truth it is false. It is possible to be enlightened of the first few levels from within oneβs false self but beyond that, each level has a different method to destroy his false world and it is impossible to get beyond a certain point without these methods. If we assume that Truth can actually be achieved at a particular place, a person who is in the place where it is possible to achieve Truth will be successful but a person who tries to achieve Truth by himself will fail for he has turned his back on the place where Truth can be achieved. In other words, he is trying to achieve Truth when he has turned his back on Truth. Achieving Truth is to become Truth. When one turns against the place of Truth, it is the falseness within him that is trying to achieve Truth and it is only logical that what is false cannot become Truth.
I have observed that those who do achieve completion are the ones who are thankful for enlightenment and continue to work silently towards completion.
Those who do not reach completion have a lot of karma and sins. They are unable to overcome their strong frameworks of mind. They are too bound to them, and are therefore unable to escape from them. Only he who repents truly, knowing that his self is false and an illusion, is able to achieve Truth.
