The Age of a New Heaven and a New Earth
The clouds have gone.
The winds have gone.
My delusions have gone.
I too have disappeared.
Everything in the Universe has all gone,
and the only thing that remains
is the place of consciousness
that exists amidst the nothingness.
Many pointless years were spent in busy activity and worries
because I was lost in my own delusions,
only to find in the end that though I was busy
I had nowhere to go.
With the silent passage of the years,
countless stories have all faded from memory
and yet those stories became me –
the false delusional being I call my self –
formed by my beliefs and habits.
My false mind, deeply rooted inside my heart
became my master, and I became the slave of illusions.
When I realized all my years living with those beliefs and habits,
those illusions, were all just pictures, I erased them.
Once I realized that even my existence was a picture
living in an illusion, I abandoned it.
Furthermore, I also eradicated the world inside my mind
so that only my true mind remained.
The true mind –
which does not disappear even when eliminated –
is Truth, the Creator, God and Buddha.
When the master of this existence comes as a human being
he will guide people to the land of this existence,
and also enable people to be reborn as the Jung and Shin –
the body and mind – of this existence.
Since being born in the land of Jung and Shin,
which is life itself, I have gained a new life.
Now after having discarded and eliminated the countless things
that had happened in the meaningless world,
only this true world remains.
Because I am reborn in the land of life,
the land of the true mind within me,
I will not die; I am immortal.
Just as so many prophets have foretold,
I have been reborn, resurrected,
and I have gone to eternal heaven while living.
The whole Universe has been created anew inside me
and in this land without death, I live forever and ever.
When you are born in the land of life within you,
when there is life within you,
it is you, yourself, that know this;
it is you, yourself, that know you shall never die.
The flowing river exists because I exist.
Even if it flows, it is simply what it is: Truth.
That is to say, everything is Truth itself,
the original foundation.
It seems no less than a miracle
that the countless stories chattering and cluttering my mind have all gone,
and I write this poem born in the true land inside me.
Isn’t this the beginning of a new heaven and a new earth?
The beginning of a new heaven and a new earth
is when heaven and the earth have completely disappeared
and a new heaven and a new earth is reborn in the true land.
It is resurrection in the land of Jung and Shin
as the true body and mind.
I have become that which I had never even dreamed,
that of whom we have only been told –
Buddha, a saint, a holy person –
only to find that all people in the world are dead;
I need to breathe life into them and save them.
Do not stake everything on the futile matters of life.
If we are all to go to the land of Truth
we need to cleanse our minds and get to the place of Truth,
the place where there is absolutely no self,
for he who is born in that land will live forever without death.
He who does not accomplish this during these blessed times will die forever,
while the one who lives, will live eternally and save people.
Having been born in this world,
the one thing man must do is become Truth.
He who has accomplished this
is a person who has accomplished all.
Only those who have been born and live as Truth
will be born as God.
Those who dwell in this world will live in this world,
and those who are born in heaven will live eternally in heaven.
The living can recognize both the living and the dead,
but the dead can recognize neither the living nor the dead.
Whether or not the green mountains and the clear streams –
the whole Earth – exist or disappear,
that which is born in the land of Truth does not disappear
because it is Truth.
Such is trueness.
The Savior, Maitreya, the holy person
you have been so eagerly waiting for,
the delusional entity that you are waiting for,
will not come no matter how long you wait.
But when the existence of Truth actually does come to the world,
in other words, when Truth itself comes to the world,
man must recognize that this existence is Truth.
He must listen to the words of Truth,
repent and be reborn in the land of Truth;
he must do the work of that land and live the life of Truth.
Such is the true way to receive or acquire blessings,
and those blessings are truly his own.
Blessings are not something that you can pray or beg for,
blessings must be worked at to accumulate.
Blessings that are built in the land of Truth
do not disappear but last forever.
Heaven is within you,
and you will live eternally
with those blessings you have built.
A fool who has a low level of consciousness
will build his fortune in his illusionary mind,
while a wise person whose level of consciousness is high
will build his fortune in his true mind.
Until the day when this Earth becomes as it is in heaven –
a place of one, and a kingdom that lives according to nature’s flow –
everyone will work together as one.
