Introduction
โจ In this profound writing, Master Woo Myung reflects on human life, the emptiness of the Universe, and the silent will of existence.
According to Master Woo Myung, human life is often lived in deception. People create their own ease and hardship, yet they do not recognize the futility of the false life they continue to build. What people think exists may not truly exist at all, because in the empty Universe, all things are ultimately emptiness. ๐
This teaching also points to a deeper truth: the Universe cannot be contained within human thought. Human thinking does not hold the will of the Universe, nor can it fully know what is silent, boundless, and beyond personal conception. Still, when the will and love of the Universe are truly etched within existence, human life can become joyful, free, and harmonious.
Through these words, Master Woo Myung invites us to reflect on the difference between the deceived human mind and the silent, boundless truth of the Universe.

Mother
Manโs is a colorless life โ
its ease and hardships man creates;
its futility man does not know.
Man lives a deceived life.
In the Universe โ
in the empty Universe โ
all things are the emptiness;
so the images that man thinks exist
do not actually exist.
If I were to tell a person
that this Universe is the creation
of a particular human being,
he would tell me that I was being absurd.
This is because the will of the Universe
does not exist in his thoughts,
nor are his thoughts the Universe.
For that which is of the Universe is silent.
Thus people do not understand the Universe
nor do they know it.
The boundless Universe
does not exist in manโs thoughts.
When this Universeโs will and love
are etched in the Universe,
man will live life singing and whistling.
Such would be the best life indeed.
When will such a day come
when man fully understands this will?

Reflect at Santa Clara Meditation
๐ฟ The teaching of Master Woo Myung reminds us that much of human life is shaped by thoughts, judgments, and illusions that do not reflect the true nature of the Universe.
People often live within the limits of the human mind, believing in images and concepts that feel real but are not the ultimate Truth. Yet the Universe itself is silent, boundless, and beyond the grasp of ordinary thought.
At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners learn how to let go of the false mind and reflect more deeply on the emptiness, silence, will, and love of the Universe. As the mind becomes clearer, one can move closer to the joyful life of harmony that Master Woo Myung describesโthe life that sings and whistles in unity with Truth. โจ
