INTRODUCTION

πŸ’ In Mistaken, Master Woo Myung reveals how man, blinded by his own mind, mistakes the world of appearances for truth. Birds fly, planes soar, cows graze β€” and though all seem different, they are in fact one within the Universe. Yet man’s mind, bound by distinction and thought, creates division where none exists.

Everything that exists is a representation of Heaven, yet people live deceived by their self-made illusions. They fail to see that the Mind β€” not the visible form β€” is the true existence. The non-existence, the still, infinite source, is the master of all.

To awaken from this mistaken life is to see that there is only the Universe, and that the true Mind is the living essence of all. 🌌

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

Mistaken

Birds are flying in the sky.
A plane is flying in the sky.
A cow is grazing in the pasture.
A horse is grazing in the pasture.
And man is living his so-called life.
All of them have been brought forth by
the one Universe.
And as different as they may seem,
they are all the same.
Man’s mind is what sees them as being different;
his mind declares them as such.
Man lives not knowing anything;
he does not know that
in the universe there is only the Universe,
or that all things are the representations of Heaven.

The Mind is the true existence,
and the true existence is the Mind.
But this is something man cannot know,
for he distinguishes the two.
Man creates so much turmoil in his mind,
and so he is deceived by his own tricks.
He lives not knowing that
the Mind is the true identity of life.
He does not know that the non-existence is the master.

REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, this poem serves as a gentle but profound reminder: distinction is illusion. 🌫

Through meditation, one comes to see that all things β€” living, moving, and still β€” come from the same one Universe. The mind that separates β€œyou” and β€œme,” β€œlife” and β€œdeath,” β€œHeaven” and β€œEarth,” is the very illusion that hides Truth.

When one’s self-made mind is discarded, what remains is the true Mind β€” the non-existent master that simply is. To live with this awareness is to live in Heaven on Earth, where all things exist as one. 🌿
