What is a ghost?
According to Master Woo Myung, a ghost is not just a spiritual being—it is an illusion that believes it exists. Man, too, is such an illusion, because he lives not in the world, but in a self-made mind world full of pictures and conceptions.
🌫️ The human mind is constantly changing, unreliable, and rooted in falseness.
Even the sense of being right, wrong, good, or sinful exists only within this illusion.
Thus, man is a ghost—a being that exists only in his own mind.
This message is not one of despair, but of hope: man can resurrect as Truth by discarding his false self and becoming one with the true world.

Man Is a Ghost
We are afraid of ghosts and we also often tell stories about ghosts.
A ghost is an illusion that believes it exists.
Man does not live in the world but in his mind world – an illusionary world.
Isn’t man who lives in an illusionary world also an illusion?
Man believes it is his illusionary self that lives,
that it is this entity that dies,
that it is this self that is right or wrong, sinful or not sinful.
However all of these things are within his illusionary mind.
Therefore, these things are ghosts because they are not real.
The human mind changes night and day,
and there are many occasions when a promise made in the morning
is broken by evening.
The human mind is an illusion
because man lives as a picture in a self-centered picture world.
Christ said that a righteous person does not exist among men.
A righteous person is someone who is right and true
but a righteous person does not exist
because all men are false and not Truth.
In the world, there is not one righteous person;
not even amongst our parents, siblings, spouses, children,
between couples or friends.
There is no one who can be trusted.
Everyone lives a self-centered life –
they live for their own benefit, in their own conceptions.
When people who are illusions and ghosts are resurrected as true people,
as God, they will become true,
and they will be able to believe in each other and live as one.
