INTRODUCTION ✨
In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung reflects on life and the passing of time. He describes how life often becomes a parasite of time, where people live without understanding the deeper meaning of their existence. However, despite life’s futility, joy can be found in the Mind that is free of wants, following Nature’s flow. True joy is found in simplicity—living well, raising children, and embracing life’s daily moments. 🌿
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG 🕊️
Living
No one can stop the passing of time,
nor can anyone blame the time that has passed.
Living becomes a sort of parasite of time
on which man lives in the world.
But no one knows the meaning of this;
the winds of time blow in vain.
The life man lives is futile indeed,
but then again, there should be some joy as well.
Joy is the delight, happiness, and well-being
which dwell in the Mind that is absent of wants;
it is a thing which man must have.
Man must no longer be himself in his mind
and have the calm Mind that follows Nature’s flow.
Man must not dwell in his happiness or sadness;
quite simply, he must live well, raise his children,
and find joy in life.
Living is a sort of work that man undertakes.

REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION 🌿
Master Woo Myung’s teaching reminds us that life, while inevitably fleeting, can still hold joy when we let go of desires and attachments. At Santa Clara Meditation, the practice of discarding the false self and aligning with Nature’s flow reveals the calm mind that is capable of finding happiness in life’s simple moments. Living well becomes a mindful act, not of grasping, but of being present in each moment. 🌱
