INTRODUCTION
β¨ In this gentle and contemplative piece, Master Woo Myung reflects on the quiet mysteries of natureβwhy a red-crowned crane returns to the same rice paddy, or how migratory birds know when to fly. Through these observations, he reveals the deeper truth that the Universe moves with its own perfect order, beyond human reasoning. πΏ
This poem invites us to see life without judgment or analysis, simply observing the natural flow that guides all beings. The craneβs arrival and departure symbolize the effortless movement of the Universe, a reminder that everything follows its true nature. π
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
Instinct
The red-crowned crane that came to our rice paddy last
year has come once again.
No matter how much I ponder about it,
why it has returned, I cannot say.
How migratory birds fly according to the seasons,
I cannot say.
The farmer weeding his field
sighs as he looks up at the birds.
The birds are flying away;
the crane is gone.
