ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
Is it basic instinct to be drawn to beautiful things, or is it because of oneโs feelings of inferiority which makes him continuously compare things to himself?
It is basic human instinct. Man has a self-sufficient mind from birth โ the mind of self-existence โ which gives him, of and by himself, the desire to eat, drink, and procreate. He does not need to be told to do so; it is simply his basic instinct. This is the reason he is drawn to things that are pretty or beautiful.
When something arises from a personโs sense of inferiority, he craves and desires only that which he feels is lacking in himself, but basic instinct is the same for everyone โ all people find good things to be good and bad things to be bad.
