INTRODUCTION

🌿 In this deeply reflective writing, Master Woo Myung reveals the essence of human existenceβ€”that all suffering arises from attachments and wants born out of the illusion of the self.
He teaches that while man believes his existence to be real, from the viewpoint of the source, such existence is false.

Though the bright sun of Truth shines without hindrance, man cannot see it because his mind is clouded by desires and habits.
When one transcends these attachments and becomes free of the false self, one realizes that existence and non-existence are oneβ€”and that Truth simply exists as it is. β˜€οΈ

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

Human Life II

The countless stars that are shining bright in the sky
exist due to the Mind which is
free of wants and attachments.
But the mind of man
is constantly turbulent of its own accord
because he exists.
The existence of his self is his attachment.
Attachments are wants.
His wants exist because he lives his life.
Life means existence,
and due to this existence, man lives.
Thus existence exists, but such existence is false.

When seen from the source, falseness does not exist.
But man believes it to exist,
which is why all that is his is futile
and why his life is not righteous.
His life is not righteous because of
the wants and attachments he has.
Human life exists of itself and dies of itself.
That it is of itself means it is as it is,
but man does not know this.
Though he has been living for countless years,
man is unable to see the bright sun due to his wants
and attachments.
This bright light is unhindered.
Hindrances are hang-ups,
and such hang-ups are what make it impossible for man
to become one with the world.
Man cannot become one with the world
because his individual self exists.
Though the individual is originally
an expression of the Whole,
the individual has habits –
habits created by the body and life he has.
What are habits?
They are the learned actions of his life.
Such actions of his life are his life.
His life is a thing that he himself has acquired.

There is not a single thing in this world
that is absent of wants and attachments,
and yet everything is absent of wants and attachments.
Though wants and attachments do not exist, they exist.
Thus existence and non-existence are one,
but man does not know this.

REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners learn how to discard the attachments and habits that veil the bright light of Truth. 🌠
Through deep reflection and mind-cleansing meditation, they come to see that existence and non-existence are not two, but one Truth beyond opposites.
In this realization, the turbulence of life quiets, and man becomes one with the world, free from the false self.
