INTRODUCTION
โจ In this insightful writing, Master Woo Myung explains that true success is not a matter of luck or external conditions, but of discarding the false human mind filled with delusions. When one eliminates accumulated habits, karma, and attachments, one becomes free of distractions and able to diligently dedicate to the work at hand.
Success also requires humilityโaccepting others without conflict, criticism, or resentment. ๐ฟ A humble person lives with the true mind, and from that mind arises wisdom, capability, and harmonious relationships, which naturally lead to success.
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
How to Become Successful
People have countless thoughts and many delusions because they have the incomplete false mind, which they came to have by taking pictures of what belongs to the world. One is born with habits, and oneโs life lived is accumulated in addition to these. These become oneโs delusional thoughts. When you discard these, delusional thoughts disappear and you can simply dedicate yourself to the work that you do, which leads to success.
Discarding the life lived, which gives rise to delusional thoughts within oneself, is the way to eliminate the delusional thoughts. Then you focus better and live in the present moment. This is the way to become successful.
If a person is to become successful, one should be capable. If one is to be capable, one should have become the mind that is able to diligently dedicate oneself to the work that one does. The mind that can be dedicated is without delusional thoughts, and one can only do so when one has become the true mind.
Human mind, which is false and a picture, exists in the mind of what one has experienced, habits, and the body. Due to this human mind, one cannot focus and dedicate oneself to the work that one does. This human mind is where delusional thoughts come from.
When you throw this away and have the mind of Truth, there are no delusional thoughts. And when you simply do the work that you do, you have wisdom and therefore can be capable and live well. Many people can become successful if they discard the karma, habits, and body, which are the false mind that they have. Then, they will change completely.
A person who is capable is one who is good at the work he does. One whose conditions are set so he can simply do what he has to do is a capable person. One who has no delusional thoughts and simply does that work is a capable person. At this time, wisdom comes from the true mind.
Also, one can succeed only when he has good relationships with others. This is why the one who is humble can become successful because he has no conflicts and can simply do the work that he does.
A person who is humble has the true mind; such a person has the positive mind that accepts all. Be accommodating to others; do not criticize or hate others; do not act or speak in a way that others do not like; compliment others and truly help others to be betterโsuch a person is humble and can live well. This is because there are no hindrances.
