INTRODUCTION ✨

In this concise teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that absolution is not an external ritual but the direct result of enlightenment. According to his message, a person becomes free of karma and sins only when they discover their original self — the state of being before the false, self-centered mind formed. This is a radical claim: forgiveness comes through inner transformation, not through mere words or ceremonies. 🌿

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG 🕊️

How can we be absolved of our sins?

When a person achieves enlightenment, all of his sins disappear. For this to happen, he must find his original self. People themselves make their karma, or sins, because of their human minds; in order to escape from their sins, they must become enlightened. When one achieves enlightenment, he becomes free of them all. This is the only way to receive absolution.

REFLECTION 🌿

Master Woo Myung’s teaching centers on an internal, experiential path: absolution = awakening. The logic is simple and uncompromising — sins are formed by the self-centered mind; therefore the only true way to remove them is to remove the self that created them. Practices that quiet, cleanse, or dissolve the false self (as taught in Santa Clara Meditation and his Human Completion method) are presented as the working method to reach that state. From this viewpoint, moral repair is a spiritual transformation rather than a legal/transactional act.
