๐ŸŒŸ INTRODUCTION

โœจ In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung reveals that greed is not only the desire for material things, but also the desire to attain Truth through the self. When one tries to reach enlightenment while still strengthening oneโ€™s sense of โ€œI,โ€ one only builds more false minds.

Truth can never be found within a seeking mind, for seeking itself comes from the false self. Only when all desires, attachments, and self-centered intentions disappear can one truly enter the world of Truth. ๐ŸŒฟ

Greed

A person with a lot of karma finds it difficult
to become Truth
because he tries to do so while making
his sense of self stronger.
He is unsuccessful because he makes
even more minds of self,
on top of what he already has.
Truth is the true world that exists when there is no self,
so Truth does not exist in a mind that seeks;
there is no Truth within oneโ€™s thoughts.

๐ŸŒ  REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners learn that greed takes many formsโ€”not only in possessions or desires, but also in the spiritual ambition to attain Truth. ๐ŸŒˆ

True enlightenment begins when one stops trying to โ€œgainโ€ anything and instead discards the false mind completely. The absence of self is where Truth exists, and only by letting go of greed and the seeking mind can one live as the Universe itselfโ€”free, eternal, and complete. ๐ŸŒพ
