INTRODUCTION

✨ In this concise yet meaningful teaching, Master Woo Myung addresses the question of whether humans should genetically engineer new plants and animals, and where the limits of such engineering lie.

While humans are the highest among creation and may create what they need, genetic engineering does not follow nature’s flow and therefore carries significant side-effects and consequences. Ultimately, true wisdom lies in taking care of what already exists, aligning with the natural order of the Universe. 🌱

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

Is it right for people to genetically engineer new plants and animals? Where do the limits of genetic engineering lie?

It is not nature’s flow for people to genetically engineer new plants and animals. However, it is alright to do so if they are needed by man. Man is of the highest, so whatever man needs is fine, regardless of its form or nature.

However, since such genetic engineering is not nature’s flow, it will bring some big consequences and side-effects. Above all, taking care of what already exists is wisdom and nature’s flow.
