INTRODUCTION
β¨ In this powerful teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that although people have eyes and ears, they cannot see or hear Truth because their minds are clouded by conceptions and habits. Scriptures can only be understood when the mind is cleansed. One who has purified his consciousness becomes the scriptures themselves, living as the Word of Truth. π
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
Though Man Has Eyes, He Cannot See; Though Man Has Ears, He Cannot Hear
Since man lives with his conceptions and habits, his eyes and ears are covered, making him both blind and deaf to what is true.
For nearly seven years, I have been saying the same thing, but because their consciousnesses had not awoken, it is only now that people have come to understand what I said seven years ago.
The same can be said for all the different types of scriptures such as the Christian Bible and the Buddhist sutras in that man cannot see or hear such scriptures because his mind is impure.
Scriptures are stories of Truth based on the viewpoint of God and Buddha.
He who has cleansed his mind is the scriptures, or in other words the Word of Truth itself, which means that he is able to see and hear the scriptures clearly.
Furthermore, what he speaks of in that state of enlightenment is, in itself, the scriptures.
He who has become the scriptures lives as the scriptures.
