INTRODUCTION

🌟 In this insightful teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that enlightenment is not simply learning something new—it is the moment when the living Truth enters an emptied mind. As one discards the self and expands the mind, the Soul and Spirit of the Universe fill that space, and the extent of that presence becomes the extent of one’s enlightenment. True realization arises only when a person moves toward Truth, allowing Truth to replace the individual self. 🌿

There Is Enlightenment Only When One Goes Towards Truth

When a person’s mind becomes bigger the mind of Truth enters into it. He has a realization that is equal to the extent the mind of Truth has entered his, and this is enlightenment.

Truth is the Creator, the Soul and Spirit of the great Universe. As much Truth as fills one’s human mind, the more he comes to know Truth. This is enlightenment. Enlightenment only comes when one empties his mind and discards the entity of his self. When he does so, his existence disappears and in its place Truth appears. So therefore, enlightenment comes only when one goes towards Truth.

When people learn new things, they often say that they have become enlightened. This is not enlightenment; it is simply having learned something that they did not know before. Enlightenment is what Truth, life, knows in the moment that living Truth enters into a mind, a consciousness, that was previously dead. It is what one’s own mind that has become Truth comes to know.
