INTRODUCTION
What is faithβreally? Is it rituals, donations, prayers, or reading scriptures?
In this writing, Master Woo Myung explains that true faith is not found in external acts, but in enlightenmentβwhen oneβs mind becomes one with Truth itself. β¨

Enlightenment Is Faith
When we talk about faith, no one knows what faith is or how exactly one should believe.
Is it faith to read religious scriptures? Is it to donate a lot of money, or is it praying and singing hymns at the religious organization? Or is it perhaps to diligently attend morning prayers, or to go and pray in the mountains? No one knows what the standard for faith is.
Each religion seeks Truth, praises the existence of Truth, speaks of and listens to words of Truth. However, doing these things cannot make Truth theirs. In order for Truth to really become oneβs own, he must become enlightened. Enlightenment is what one comes to know when his consciousness grows bigger on his journey towards the infinite Energy and Light of the Universe which is the existence of Truth.
Consciousness is the mind, so therefore, when oneβs mind becomes this existence itself he can at last say that he has faith.
The way we live and what we say reflect what is in our minds.
A person who has Truth within him will live a life of Truth. For such a person, all the things he did not know about Truth will disappear. When oneβs mind completely believes, or in other words, when he has been completely enlightened, he will truly, truly, have faith.
