INTRODUCTION

โœจ In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that emptiness is not mere nothingnessโ€”it is the true existence from which all things arise. Human suffering comes from delusional thoughts, images, memories, and habits accumulated throughout life, which create endless โ€œminds within the mind.โ€
To return to the true self, one must eliminate these layers of karma. Only then can one see that all creations and emptiness are one and the same, the living foundation of Truth. ๐ŸŒฟ

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

Emptiness I

Free yourself from delusional thoughts and images.
Those delusional thoughts and images
are created, then erased
by your mind.
Your mind
is the thoughts and habits formed from your life.
It is from those conceptions and habits
that delusional thoughts and images are created;
and such is what karma is.

They make more minds inside your mind,
but minds inside the mind do not originally exist.
Those minds inside the mind are
the product of your karma,
and they must be eliminated
in order for you to become your genuine true self.
Your body itself is your mind
but you make more minds on top of that mind โ€”
this is the difference between an ordinary person
and a saint.

The mind is the emptiness;
all creations and the emptiness are the same.
The reason they are the same is
it is existence that is in existence,
not non-existent things that came into existence.
It is something that actually exists
that has changed shape and form.
However people cannot see this
because they try to see it with their human eyes.
Forms and shapes are made by man,
but they are originally what they have always been.
What they have always been means
what is real is real
and all real things in existence are the emptiness.
It means the emptiness is the magician
which creates all things.

REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners learn how delusional thoughts, internal images, and accumulated habits create endless layers of false mind.
Through the method of cleansing the mind, these inner layers of karma disappear, revealing the emptiness that is the true foundation of all existence.

This emptiness is not absenceโ€”it is the creative existence that becomes every form in the universe.
When the mind returns to this original emptiness, one becomes the true self, free from suffering, illusion, and inner conflicts.
Here, one sees the world as it truly is, beyond human conceptions. ๐ŸŒ
