Elder Sister
My elder sister,
who once handed me a pristine white handkerchief,
stood by me through a lifetime of hardships,
and helped me through times of poverty.
It has already been some years since she passed away.
As new leaves bud by the reservoir
poignant thoughts of her come to me,
and I am ashamed of having been unable to
repay her love.
I will repay her with eternal life together with me
