INTRODUCTION

🌿 In this illuminating teaching, Master Woo Myung reveals that the true meaning of β€œBlessed are the poor in spirit” is to have nothing in one’s mind.
The mind that is empty β€” free of wants, greed, and delusion β€” is the mind of Heaven.

Those who have cleansed their minds while living will receive God’s permission to enter Heaven even before physical death.
For them, Heaven is not a distant realm, but a living reality here and now. πŸŒ…

However, those who have not cleansed their minds remain trapped in delusions and false thoughts,
and thus live burdened in this world β€” continuing their suffering even after death.

The Difference Between Those Who Have Cleansed Their Minds and Those Who Have Not

There is a Bible verse which reads,
β€œBlessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.”
To be β€œpoor in spirit” means to have nothing in one’s mind.
The human mind is full of wants, and this is why one cannot enter Heaven.

He who has cleansed his mind receives permission from the God within him that he may enter into Heaven while he is still alive.
This means that for him, this world is Heaven and that he will thus live in Heaven while he is alive, not to mention after his body is no more.

He who has not cleansed his mind lives in his own delusions and so he will eventually die because such thoughts are not Truth, nor are they real.
Furthermore, not only would he be afflicted by his burdens while living in this world,
but he will continue to be afflicted with the pain of hell even after death.

REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, the teaching of cleansing the mind is practiced through the method of discarding β€” letting go of false thoughts, attachments, and burdens that cloud the true self.

Through this process, one becomes poor in spirit, meaning empty yet full of Truth. 🌸
The person who achieves this state lives in Heaven on earth, liberated from pain and delusion.

As Master Woo Myung reminds us, Heaven is not reached after death β€”
it is realized within when the mind becomes clean, free, and one with God.
