INTRODUCTION
โจ In this clarifying teaching, Master Woo Myung explains the true meaning of wonshibanbon, a concept often misunderstood as returning to primitive living. In reality, wonshibanbon means to return to the origin, the birthplace of Truth, the source from which all creation has emerged.
Human beings have drifted far from their original nature, living in a world filled with personal opinions, self-centered minds, and lies. To return to the place of the Creator, the spring of all life, is to recover oneโs true consciousness, the Soul and Spirit that lives eternally. When people regain this consciousness of Truth, the world becomes a place where all are one, alive in the land of Truth. ๐

The Correct Meaning of Wonshibanbon
Some people believe that the meaning of wonshibanbon is that we should go back to living the way we used to during primitive times.
The correct meaning of wonshibanbon is to return to the origin. It means we should go back to the place of Truth, which is the birthplace and the parents of all creation. This existence is Truth and the source of all creation; it is the place of the Creator; it is the place of life for us all and it is our original nature.
In this harsh world, people have forgotten their origin and live however they please. Leaving behind this age where people only speak their own words – lies – and returning to the birthplace of our minds, the birthplace of Truth where the spring of all life exists, is the true meaning of wonshibanbon.
When man has the consciousness of wonshibanbon, the consciousness of Truth, it is that consciousness – the Soul and Spirit – which will live. He will then know that the whole world is alive in the land of Truth and it will become a perfect world where all people live as one.
