INTRODUCTION

✨ In this poetic meditation, Master Woo Myung reflects on clouds—drifting, vanishing, and leaving only the sky behind. Clouds symbolize the illusions of life that people become attached to, mistakenly believing them to be Truth. 🌌

But when the clouds disappear, the sky remains eternal. In the same way, when the false self and attachments vanish, one realizes that the essence is not the fleeting clouds but the unchanging Truth itself.

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

Clouds

In the far distance, puffy white clouds
are drifting by.
Clouds pass,
and it is me that watches them.
I simply watch,
unknowing of whether or not the clouds are Truth.

When the drifting clouds have disappeared,
the sky remains;
the clouds have vanished
and are nowhere to be seen.
I lived attached to the clouds;
thinking back, I was a cloud.
But the clouds are now
no longer clouds.
