🌱 Everything in the material world operates under the law of cause and effect—but how can we escape this cycle? In this concise yet profound teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that karma arises from causes, and only by eliminating the cause can we be free from the effect.
💰 For example, if one works diligently, the result is earning money. Diligence is the cause, and money is the effect. But what if we no longer needed to chase results? What if our minds were completely cleansed?
🌈 According to Master Woo Myung, true freedom comes when we are no longer bound by this chain. A person who has cleansed his mind is no longer caught in the system of karma. He lives beyond duality, beyond gain and loss, beyond cause and consequence.
🧘 Transcending karma is possible only through spiritual purification. This is not theory—it is a path to real, unchanging peace.
Cause and Effect
Everything that is of the material realm exists because of ‘cause and effect’. A cause is the condition (reason) for why there is a resultant effect or consequence. Accordingly, because there is condition, there is karma.
A person who does not have money can gain it if he works. The cause here is ‘diligence,’ while the consequence is the ‘money’ earned. In order to be free from the cycle of causal actions and resultant effects, the cause must be eliminated so that there is no consequence whatsoever. He who has cleansed his mind is free from this cycle, because he is no longer in it.
