🌟 INTRODUCTION
✨ In this clear and insightful teaching, Master Woo Myung reveals the deep meaning of the phrase “asking the way while standing on the path.” It expresses the condition of mankind—searching for Truth while already living within it. 🌿
Human life itself is Truth and dō (道), yet people continue to seek enlightenment in the wrong places, unaware that they already stand in the land of God and Buddha. Everything that one needs to know already exists within one’s life; the Way is right where one is, not somewhere else. 🌌
📜 ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
What Does “Asking the Way While Standing on the Path” Mean?
This means that even though one’s life itself is Truth, man looks for Truth in the wrong places. Namely, it means that one searches for dō ignorant of the fact that when he becomes enlightened, the land of God and Buddha is the place where he is. Both sides of the hand are dō, and such is Truth.
Everything exists in his life, but man tries to seek answers to what he does not know from the outside. Dō is right where he is, not somewhere else.
