INTRODUCTION

๐ŸŒŒ In this profound writing, Master Woo Myung explains that agony is not imposed by the world, but is created by the unfulfilled greed and desires of human life. When people try to achieve something and fail, suffering naturally follows.

โœจ This teaching reveals that agony and joy are merely emotional products of karma and habits. When one steps outside the forest of personal experience, one sees that suffering belongs only to the self, as taught by Master Woo Myung.

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

Agony

Agony is
the product of human life.
It is when man tries to achieve something then fails
that this becomes his agony.
Agony is
the output of manโ€™s unfulfilled greed.

The countless experiences of manโ€™s life
are his agonies and joys,
but they are mere emotions that he has.
Stemming from his karma and habits,
that oneโ€™s thoughts create oneโ€™s agonies.

Emotions are the experiences he has come to have
of his own accord.

When seen from outside the forest,
one will be able to see that
no one else but himself has agonies;

๐ŸŒฟ REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners are guided to step beyond greed-driven emotions and observe suffering from outside the forest of the mind. ๐ŸŒ
Through this realization, one no longer identifies with agony and begins to live in Truth, according to the teaching of Master Woo Myung.
