INTRODUCTION
✨ In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung reveals that when the self disappears, one becomes Truth, living with the conceptions of the Whole. A person who is free from the personal self awakens to the awareness that the Universe exists within one’s consciousness and that all things arise and disappear naturally. 🌿
To be reborn as Truth is to transcend life and death, entering Buddha-kṣetra—the land of oneness. Only by returning to one’s original nature beyond karma and habit can one truly live in Paradise. Ultimately, existence and non-existence become one, and the person who has died while alive enjoys eternal life free from sorrow, fear, and illusion. 🌌
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
The Absence of Self Is Truth
A person who is absent of his self is
a person who is Truth,
and he lives with the conceptions of the Whole.
He is the master of the Universe.
The Universe exists because he exists.
His consciousness is always the Universe,
and everything exists in him.
Heaven is silent,
but all creations are Heaven.
All creations arrive and depart of their own accord.
Such existent creations are all Heaven.
The Whole is Heaven.
The Whole is everything.
The Whole is Truth.
A person who is absent of self is
one who has been reborn with
the conceptions of the Whole.
Such a person is Truth.
Truth is oneness.
Truth is oneness itself.
A person will be able to live when
he has become this oneness that is Truth.
What is it that allows man to live?
What is it that causes man to die?
Life and death will become one for
a person who has died while he is alive.
Such a person will live in Paradise.
His self that has been reborn is Truth.
He lives in the Buddha-ksetra as Truth,
absent of his self.
That the whole of the Universe lives
as the Buddha-ksetra,
as the oneness which is the Land of Truth,
means he is absent of his self
and has been reborn as Truth.
People say that they are all one,
but it is only by becoming Truth that
they are able to truly be one.
Unless they return to
their original nature – their true nature –
which is Truth,
they cannot truly be one.
In his life and his body,
man harbors his karma and habits,
which have made him become his self.
Once he has discarded his self and has died,
he will be born again so that Truth will live.
That something does not exist
and yet at the same time exists,
that something exists
but does not,
all depend on one’s point of view.
Everything that one sees is Truth.
What will save man is
the absence of his self –
his conceptions.
One’s absence of self and his consequent rebirth as
Truth and eternal life are, as a whole,
the state of both parinirvana and maha-nirvana.
He who has been born as Truth will live as Truth
in the Land of Truth,
absent of death.
