What is righteousness in human life?

Master Woo Myung reveals that true righteousness begins when the self disappears. Human life as we know it is filled with burdens and attachments—yet we don’t know why. Through this writing, we are shown that discarding the whole of the self is the way to live righteously and freely.

📝 Original Writing by Master Woo Myung

Human Life

A new life is unfolding.
Human life exists because man lives,
and in this life of his, there must be righteousness.
But man does not know what righteousness is.
Thus I must awaken him to it and save him.

Righteousness is the state in which
the individual does not exist.
One’s individuality is one’s attachment –
a thing which was created because one’s self exists.
One must discard all of his thoughts
as well as the whole of his self
in order to be righteous.
The ‘whole’ means ‘everything’
thus what I am saying is
one must discard everything.

Human life is a thing in which man lives
bearing the scraps of his burdens in his mind.
He lives bearing such attachments
without even knowing why.
Thus human life is a false one
in which man lives with falseness.
