What is Righteousness?
That which is alive is living,
and everything exists as is.
What sees is the universe,
and what hears is also the universe.
Every creation is the universe resembling the universe,
and all are living.
When a calf cries ‘moo’,
it is the sound of the universe, a signal from the universe;
but no one knows this, and no one sees this.
The whole of man’s mind is the universe,
and man’s mind is the universe itself.
However, people cannot see the universe
nor do they know that everything, the mind, is one;
therefore,
they see, hear, do, and speak from their own perspectives
according to what they have in their minds.
They see what is going as going, and what is coming as coming;
they do not know that everything just exists as is.
This and that are one,
that and this are one.
People see everything as being separate
because they see from their own minds.
When one sees with the mind of the universe which is one,
one will know that everything is one
and that everything is the shape of this oneness.
And even that which has no shape is of one soul and spirit
and is oneness itself.
However, people are deceived by appearances.
Thus, they do not know their origin or their true selves
and do not know what is righteous.
To be righteous is to be unbent,
and to be unbent means to be endless,
to be alive, and have no death;
it is Truth itself.
When you see from the eyes of Truth,
you can see everything accurately
and can see as Truth.
That which the individual knows and sees has no righteousness,
for it is the product of his own subjective delusions.
Only Truth is righteous and true.
That which Truth sees and knows is righteous because
it is Truth itself and thus, unchanging;
it is righteous because it does not change.
What is righteous in this world is only the universe,
and what is true in this world is only the universe.
One who is reborn as the body and mind of the universe
is a righteous person, and everything about him is righteous.
However, people cannot see such righteousness.
They cannot see it
because they see from their own points of view
and they think they are right.
Righteousness is only for one
who is reborn as the body and mind of the universe.
