Introduction
โจ In this insightful teaching, Master Woo Myung explains the deeper meaning behind Jesusโ words about raising the temple in three days.
Rather than referring to a physical structure, Master Woo Myung teaches that the โtempleโ symbolizes the human body and mind. When a person truly repents and discards all sins, habits, and fixed conceptions, God comes to dwell within, and the individual himself becomes the temple. ๐ฟ
This writing also clarifies that merely calling out to God is not enough. True entry into Heaven comes only when one lives according to Truth and follows the words of God in action. Through this, one can be reborn and live in the Kingdom of Heaven within.
Through these words, Master Woo Myung offers a profound reflection on repentance, inner transformation, the temple within, Godโs presence, and rebirth into Heaven.
Original Writing by Master Woo Myung
To Raise the Temple in Three Days
Upon witnessing a temple that was still in the process of being built after forty years, Jesus said, โDestroy this temple, and in three days, I will raise it up.โ
People may think that Jesus was able to raise the temple in three days because he was the Son of God and was thus omniscient and omnipotent. But in truth, what he meant was that when man repents all of his sins and enshrines God inside him, his body would be his temple.
Jesus also said that not everyone who calls out to him, โLord, Lord!โ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. What this means is that only those who actually follow Godโs words will be born into Heaven. God is not located some place here or there, but it is inside us that He dwells. One who throws away whatever fixed conceptions and habits that one has had as a sinner is the temple and can be born into Heaven.
