Introduction
β¨ In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung explains the difference between the true world and the world people create within their own minds. Human beings often believe they are correct while others are wrong, but these judgments are usually based on personal conceptions, habits, and accumulated thoughts.
According to Master Woo Myung, these thoughts are not reality but merely pictures stored in the mind. Because people view the world through these mental images, their understanding of reality becomes limited and distorted. π
The teaching emphasizes that only Truth itself is truly correct. When individuals speak or act from the perspective of the self, their words and actions arise from the illusionary mind. However, when a person becomes selfless and aligns with the world itself, they begin to see and understand reality as it truly is.
Through this message, Master Woo Myung encourages people to look beyond personal viewpoints and perceive the world with clarity, humility, and alignment with Truth, allowing humanity to create a brighter and more harmonious world. πΏ
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
The True World
Man believes he is right and others are wrong.
He agrees with things that fit his conceptions and habits,
and disagrees when they do not.
All of manβs behaviors and words
are self-centered conceptions and habits.
They are not real; they are false pictures.
There is nothing right in any of them.
Only Truth is right;
only what is proper is right;
only what exists is right – only that which is not non-existent,
namely, only that which is in the world is proper and right.
The conceptions and habits of oneβs mind are not right at all.
What man thinks he knows are all minds, pictures, stored in oneβs picture world,
thus, nothing is right in the world.
No oneβs actions are right either,
for they are done or spoken from the picture world.
When a person has not been born in the world,
all of his actions are wrong, because nothing he does is Truth.
To truly know something, one has to become the world;
one only truly knows when he has become the viewpoint of the world.
The perspective of oneβs self is just his own conceptions;
it is not Truth, so he does not truly know anything.
A person who does not have self, a person who is self-less,
is Truth and such a person speaks true words and behaves truly.
A person who has a self, speaks and behaves from his own point of view,
so there is nothing right in his words or actions.
Man should live not in his illusionary conceptions and habits,
but with the viewpoint of Truth.
If man sees the world properly with clear eyes;
if he listens to what the world is saying with keen ears,
and if he speaks true words and behaves in a true way,
the world will become a bright place.

πΏ Reflect at Santa Clara Meditation
At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners reflect on teachings from Master Woo Myung that reveal how the human mind often creates a world of personal interpretations and illusions.
Through meditation and self-reflection, individuals gradually learn to discard these accumulated thoughts and habits. As the mind becomes clearer, it becomes possible to perceive the world from the perspective of Truth rather than the perspective of the self.
π When people see the world clearly, listen carefully, and act according to Truth, the teaching suggests that the world itself can become a more harmonious and enlightened place.
