๐ Introduction
โจ In this profound continuation of The Age of Man, Master Woo Myung describes the difference between living with a human mind and living with the mind of great nature.
Through the simple image of a bird and a flowing river, he reveals how human beings are trapped in thoughts, greed, and illusion, unable to hear the song of nature. ๐ฟ
The true purpose of man is not achievement or survival, but human completion โ becoming a real person, transcending death, and being reborn as the Soul and Spirit of the Universe.
This writing calls humanity to awaken in this age โ the age when man can finally become complete.
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
The Age of Man II
Little bird, little bird, where are you going?
Where did you come from,
and where is it that you are going?
A bird lives flitting from tree to tree silently,
and it passes away while searching for food.
It lives just doing what it needs to do,
and it lives without worrying.
Man has put so many events and stories inside himself,
that even the sound of the bird whistling
causes countless thoughts to arise like bubbles in boiling porridge.
He is lost in his own thoughts
and cannot hear the birdโs singing.
But he who can hear the singing of the bird,
knows the wonder and mystery of nature
because his thoughts come from a mind that has become nature;
because his mind is the mind of nature
and can be at leisure and magnanimous.
The flowing river just flows,
and the trees in the mountains just live,
but only man lives with greed in his mind
and is unable to fulfill his purpose.
The true will, or purpose, that man needs to achieve
is to become a person; that is, he needs to become a real person –
a real person has become the mind of nature that is silent and is
therefore living,
but he is at the state where he has transcended the fact that he exists;
the state where he has transcended death;
the state that is beyond joy, sadness, good, bad, existence, non-existence,
cold, hot, cool, warm, joy, anger, sorrow and pleasure.
It is the land where oneโs Soul and Spirit,
the complete existence that has become Truth, lives.
The ordinary person tries to become Truth while holding onto his self,
but a wise person tries to become Truth by throwing away his useless self.
Great nature teaches man about life,
but man cannot see or understand what nature teaches him
because he has not become the mind of great nature.
Inside the mind that he has made,
he does not think of the ways of great nature,
and he lives according to his own will,
and his will is to live only for his own sake.
Without reason or purpose, man ages,
and without reason or purpose, he leaves the world.
He who lives within his mind,
lives trapped inside his mind, a non-existent world,
and without knowing that this is death,
he lives suffering and burdened,
going through the cycle of death and rebirth, over and over again.
He who has completely died and become the mind of nature,
is the Soul and Spirit of the great Universe,
and within nature, he is an eternal immortal.
Such a person has cast off everything;
he is free and liberated,
because he is free from the source of manโs suffering –
he is free from human conceptions and habits.
Only a person who has completely died can go to this place,
and he can only be born there, when none of his self exists.
No matter where he goes man has nowhere to go,
because regardless of how much he does and achieves,
they are done in his mind,
and his achievements are non-existent illusions.
The purpose, the reason, man was born into the world,
is to become complete and to become Truth.
Truth is where he must go, and Truth is where he must live.
Weary wanderer, though you may walk and walk, there is no end;
letโs go to Truth and have eternal peace.
Letโs live eternally.
Do not live a human lifetime that can be seen,
but live a lifetime of the world.
To live a lifetime of the world,
you must be reborn as an eternal and indestructible existence –
the Soul and Spirit, the Jung and Shin, of the Universe.
Only this existence is alive,
and only this existence is Truth and real.
Manโs false body and mind is an illusion and therefore useless,
so if you discard it, the Universe which is the origin remains.
You must be resurrected
and receive a new body as the Soul and Spirit of the Universe.
It is the age of man.
It is an age when man is respected,
an age when man becomes the master of the Universe.
The world lives or dies according to manโs will,
and only when man, a human-being, is the master of the world that is true,
can the true world be saved within man,
and man saved within the true world.
In this time, this age, of human completion,
we should repent and go to heaven while we are living.
Manโs perpetual riddle was how to become complete,
which he could not achieve for thousands,
no, for tens of thousands of years.
But now, the riddle is solved – it can be fulfilled
when everyone stops thinking that only he himself is right
and goes to the place where man can become complete.
Can you believe in a heaven you are told of only with words?
Would you throw away your one and only life?
If not, you must become complete while you are living, immediately,
and you must go to heaven while you are still living, immediately.
If the place where you are practicing or attending is real,
then shouldnโt you have become real already?
No matter what form the real existence has when he comes to the world,
if he makes people become real,
then isnโt he the real existence?
Donโt wait for a Savior with a particular form,
but have an open mind and if there is a method to become real,
take a leap of faith and try it, because you will become real.
Regardless of whether Truth has come or gone,
people are unable to see,
so do not try to see Truth with your eyes.
If there is a place where one can become Truth,
then that place is Truth.
The place of Truth, is where you can become true,
not the place that talks of what is true.
A person who is attached to scriptures will continue to live within the scriptures
even when everyone else has become true.
Just as the Jews were not able to receive Jesus
because they were too bound to the Old Testament,
when it is said that Jesus will come back to the world on a cloud accompanied
by angels,
it means man will not know when Truth comes to the world;
when those who have become Truth come to the world in human form.
Man is trapped inside his mind world
and is unable to see the person from heaven.
People, who are limited by their idea of what Truth looks like,
will not know when Maitreya comes to the world,
and they will not know when Jung-do-ryung comes to the world.
All these terms speak of one existence –
the existence of Truth – coming to the world.
This existence will be the existence that makes Truth.

๐ฟ Reflect at Santa Clara Meditation
At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners are guided to discard the human mind of greed and illusion and awaken to the mind of great nature. ๐
This is the age of human completion โ not an age of technology or power, but an age when man can become the master of the Universe by becoming Truth itself.
To live a lifetime of the world rather than a fleeting human lifetime, one must be reborn as the Soul and Spirit of the Universe.
