๐ Introduction
๐ In this insightful teaching, Master Woo Myung explains the difference between the blessings people seek and the blessings that truly endure.
Most people pray for success, prosperity, health, and favorable circumstances. Yet according to Master Woo Myung, what the delusional mind seeks are temporary and conditional gains. โจ
True blessings are not something one asks forโthey are something one accumulates in the Land of Truth. Only blessings gained in Truth remain forever.

The Blessings Man Seeks
When you look at people who are religious,
most of them practice their religions by praying for blessings.
What manโs delusional mind seeks
is usually to ask for things.
Especially when he feels that he is in dire adversity,
he prays ardently.
One hopes and prays
to pass entrance exams,
for employment,
for the well-being of oneโs children,
that oneโs husbandโs business may prosper,
or that one may make a lot of money.
Each person has a mind of his own,
and depending on what he has stored in his mind โ
depending on the variety of things that his mind holds โ
man lives accordingly.
He lives life according to how much he harbors in his mind.
Man asks for blessings,
but this does not mean he will get them;
they will come to be
when the condition for them is present in his mind.
Man lives according to the mind he harbors within.
Man thinks that he gets what he asked for
because he prayed for it,
but it is just a case of โwhat will be will be.โ
Instead of accumulating false delusional blessings,
man must accumulate within himself
true blessings.
But man does not know that his mind is diseased โ
that his โjung (body)โ and โshin (mind)โ are diseased โ
and has thus become enslaved in his delusions
and lives in them.
The dead do not know the living, for they are dead.
Entering into the eternal and unchanging Land of Truth
is the real and true blessing,
but when will this day come?
A blessing is not something to be sought out
but to be amassed in the Land of Truth.
The blessings one amasses in the Land of Truth
will remain forever.
They become oneโs own, and by them one will live.
To wield the power of Heaven means,
to accumulate oneโs blessings in that Land.
What you have accumulated is yours,
and thus it is your power to wield.

๐ Reflect at Santa Clara Meditation
At Santa Clara Meditation, blessings are not viewed as external rewards. ๐ฟ
True blessings arise when one discards the delusional mind and enters the Land of Truth. What one accumulates thereโwisdom, unity, eternal lifeโremains forever.
Temporary gains fade.
Blessings gained in Truth endure eternally.
