INTRODUCTION
β¨ In Discrimination, Master Woo Myung reflects on the long history of divisions within humanityβclass, status, wealth, and appearance. Though these hierarchies have existed for centuries, they are born from greed and the illusion that people are separate from one another. π
πΏ He reminds us that you and I are not strangers, but one. Those who lived arrogantly or in discontentment did so because they were trapped within their own minds, chasing what they believed they lacked. π
This teaching calls for awakening from that dream. There is nothing to gain, nothing to possessβonly the need to break free from the false self in order to live and come closer to Truth. β¨
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
Discrimination
Since long ago
there has existed a hierarchy within mankind.
There were those who were in
the high class and the low class,
the nobility and the peasants,
the dark-skinned people and the light-skinned people.
Even today there are different classes;
those who are wealthy act like they are nobility
while those who are impoverished and weak
die one day after having lived their lives
with discontentment and regret.
Listen!
You and I are not strangers;
you and I are one.
But those who died after having lived arrogantly
did so due to their discontentment and regrets,
and it is a pity indeed.
You have been given your body
so then what else is it that you are seeking to gain?
Why do you live so greedily?
Wake up all of you!
Wake up from your dreams!
There is nothing for you to have or gain;
just break free from your selves.
This is the only way you will be able to live;
this is the only way for you to become closer to Truth.

πΏ REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION
At Santa Clara Meditation, this teaching is practiced as an awakening from the illusion of separation. By discarding greed and the false sense of self, practitioners discover unity and approach Truth exactly as taught by Master Woo Myung. π
