INTRODUCTION

๐ŸŒŒ In this sharp philosophical reflection, Master Woo Myung examines the deist view of God that emerged after the Age of Enlightenment โ€” a God who creates the universe, sets natural laws in motion, and then never intervenes in human life.

โœจ He reveals that this view is fundamentally limited because it still judges God through human concepts of form, order, and relationship. According to Master Woo Myung, true God is not a distant mechanic of the cosmos but the living Universe itself, and manโ€™s original self is none other than this God. Real awakening begins when one realizes that you are not separate from the Universe you seek. ๐ŸŒฟ

Is the Deist View of God Correct?

The philosophers who believed in deism after the Age of Enlightenment or the Age of Reason believed that God exists, and that He provided the laws of nature and the order of the world. They also believed that human life and the world move according to those laws and order and that God does not intervene in matters of human life. There is law and order and the world keeps going according to them. Prayers and paying of respect has no meaning; one only needs to live in accordance with that law and order. Such a God has no relationship whatsoever with people. Is this assertion correct?

God is that which exists just as it is; God cannot be found in a certain or particular form. Although there is some logic behind the assertions of the English philosophers of the time, it is not right because they did not know they themselves are the Universe. They judged God according to their own thoughts which came from their observations that they and others have forms, but God does not exist in the way they thought. Man, just as he is, is God and has the power of self-existence. The discovery of oneโ€™s original self is the way towards the one God, but not knowing that the true self is the Universe, they incorrectly asserted their thoughts based on form, relationships, and order.

๐ŸŒฟ REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners are guided beyond intellectual ideas about God toward direct realization of their original nature as the Universe itself. ๐ŸŒ
By cleansing the false mind, one discovers that God is not โ€œout thereโ€ governing from afar, but is the living Truth within, exactly as taught by Master Woo Myung.
