Gae-Byuk of the Jung and Shin Means the Creation of the Universe, in Which Man Is Born Again into a New Heaven and New Earth
When they hear the words ‘new Heaven and new earth’, people usually think that it will be established here in this world; furthermore, they think that dead bodies will come to life. However, these are misconceptions. The new Heaven and new earth will come when one’s ‘jung (body)’ and ‘shin (mind)’ become one with God, and he builds the new world — the Kingdom of Heaven — inside himself. It will come when man is born again as one with God.
The previous age was the genesis of material substance, but the present age is that of the ‘gae-byuk (new beginning)’ of the Jung and Shin. Everything in this world that is of material substance owes its existence to the animitta-Truth, while it is the nimitta-Truth that creates the Jung and Shin.
The purpose of gae-byuk is so that man can live in the ever-living Land of Truth, which means that he is able to live in the new Heaven and new earth through the genesis of his Jung and Shin.
