INTRODUCTION

🌌 In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that pride is not strength but the defense of the false self. The narrower the mind built from memories and images, the stronger pride becomes.

✨ This writing reveals that real pride exists only when one lives as Truth itselfβ€”like wind and waterβ€”without clinging to desire or self-image. When the mind becomes nature, one lives without enemies and accepts all as it is, as taught by Master Woo Myung.

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

What Is Pride?

Pride is the protection of one’s false self.
Real pride is when one has Truth.

One’s mind consists of the accumulation of false images.
One lives with that mind,
and so the narrower his mind, the stronger his pride.

When one has no mind of self,
he lives as it is, as he is shaped.
No matter what he encounters,
no matter where the wind blows,
he just lives as the wind, as the water.

Everything is one, everything is Truth itself,
but in the narrow selfish minds of humans,
there is no Truth.

One cannot live like wind and water
because his mind cannot become the wind or the water,
because it cannot become great nature.

When one throws away all of his desires,
he sees all as it is and lives as it is;
he is the highest one.

Even though he may suffer loss in the world,
he lives in silent acceptance;
he is the highest one.

Only one whose mind becomes the mind of nature
has no enemies.

When there is only Truth in his mind
without any images of the shadows of human memories,
he is one reborn as the mind of nature.
Because he is great nature itself,
he is one with nature.

🌿 REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners are guided to discard the false self and accumulated images and return to the mind of nature. 🌠
Through this process, one lives without pride rooted in ego and abides in silent acceptance and Truth, according to the teaching of Master Woo Myung.
