INTRODUCTION
๐ In this profound writing, Master Woo Myung reflects on how human life drifts like a cloud, yet people do not recognize it. Swept away by the world, they mistake habits, karma, and attachments for love and meaning.
โจ This teaching reveals that by storing countless thoughts of what one should and should not have, people lose sight of the original Mind and wander endlessly in search of Truth, unaware that this wandering itself is foolishness, as taught by Master Woo Myung.
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
Foolishness
Life is like a drifting cloud,
but man does not know it,
for he lives swept away by the world.
He lives where
exchanges of kindness, affection, or love
are made up of the karma and habits of man.
Manโs mind is his attachments,
and it is from this human mind that
his thoughts come forth.
Man has stored inside himself
all the things he should and should not have
and consequently is ignorant of the original Mind;
he then wanders around in search of Truth.
Such is the foolishness of man,
but of this he is ignorant as well.
The things man knows
are the things that are futile and false.
Yet he boasts that he is extraordinary.
