INTRODUCTION
π In this profound teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that Truth β the wind, the rain, and the whole of creation β exists just as it is. Yet human beings trap themselves by creating concepts and images, mistaking these mental molds for reality.
β¨ This writing reveals that when a person lives only within his fixed conceptions, he becomes confined inside his own mind. True reality exists of its own accord, but people soil the Universe with their thoughts and live as slaves to them, as taught by Master Woo Myung.
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
Confinement
βThe wind is blowing.β
βThe rain is pouring.β
Such things are created by man.
Truth β
the wind, the rain, and the whole of creation β
exists as it is,
but manβs mind busily creates such things.
From within his mold he creates images,
and he believes these images to be all there is.
But Truth has always existed as it is.
Thus he lives deceived,
for he is falseness and thinks that
what he perceives is Truth.
The Universe has always been as it is,
but man soils that Universe with his mind.
Thus he is within himself,
and his self is a conception, not a reality.
A reality is something that is real,
which in turn means that it exists;
that it exists means
its foundation exists of its own accord.
Man knows not who he is;
he does not know that he is the self-existing God,
but lives as a slave to his thoughts instead.
To be a slave means to belong,
but isnβt belonging confinement?
To be confined means to be limited,
but arenβt limitations the range of oneβs actions?
Isnβt the range of oneβs actions limited space?
Isnβt limited space oneβs insides β oneβs fixed conceptions?
Arenβt oneβs fixed conceptions his individual self?
A person is his individual self,
so wouldnβt he see all things from his own perspective?
To live in this is to live as man.

πΏ REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION
At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners are guided to recognize how the mind confines the Universe and to break free from fixed conceptions. π
Through this process, one moves beyond mental slavery and experiences Truth as it is, according to the teaching of Master Woo Myung.
